Lost and Found was the first episode of the fourth season of The Dumping Ground. It was first broadcast back to back with the following episode Bear-Faced Liar under the name Slings and Arrows at 4:30pm on 29 January 2016.

Synopsis

Bailey gets a shock when his mother pays him a visit. As does the rest of the Dumping Ground when they are given a surprise Ofsted inspection.

Trivia

First episode of The Dumping Ground since season 3's Dragon Slayer to air on a Friday.
This is the first time the opening titles were not changed for the start of the new season.
The size of the episode title credits have increased in size since the previous season.
According to the audio described version, in the scene where Floss lies she likes Shakespeare, Kazima was attempting to mime "A Midsummer Night's Dream", one of Shakespeare's plays.
In the scene where the kids are deciding which Shakespeare play to perform, one of the twins asks if they can perform The Lion King instead. The Lion King was based on Shakespeare's play Hamlet (from which the famous phrase "Alas poor Yorick, I knew him well" is taken from).

Errors

The BBC's website at first erroneously listed the compilation version of the episode with the episode description from season 3's Refuge.
For the episode's first individual broadcast, the BBC's website erroneously referred to the episode as the second episode of season 4, rather than the first.
The newspaper with Bailey's picture reads "This Seasons Young Hopefuls". There is a grammatical error as there ought to be an apostrophe in "Season's".
The subtitles call Floss "Ross". This occurs in both the compilation and individual episode versions.
In the audio described version, when Jody and Mo take Allison (or rather, Bryony) upstairs, the narrator calls Jody "Jo".
