The Scare Game was the ninth episode of the second season of Tracy Beaker Returns. It was broadcast at 17:00 on the CBBC Channel on 25/02/2011.

Synopsis

When Lily's dad reappears in town, she resolves to be reunited with him.

Trivia

  • The opening notes in the opening credits are played by a different instrument starting with this episode. This will continue until the end of season 2.
  • First appearance of Steve Kettle, who gains legal custody of Lily.
  • The episode title appears to have been a play on the second Tracy Beaker novel "The Dare Game".

Errors

  • New Life's Eve suggested that Liam was not living at the DG when Lily came to live there (given that Lily did not recognise Liam when he tried to climb through the window), so how would he have known about Steve trying to enter Elm Tree House? (Someone, for instance Frank, could have told him).
  • Lily yells at the others in the room that they don't have dads. Gus, Elektra, Johnny and Tee have dads (although Lily may not have known about Elektra's parents and neither Johnny nor Tee recognise Keith as their dad).
  • When Gina sat down on the bench outside, she drops the cups, however in the next shot they are back on the tray.
